Despite absence of star player Lionel Messi, Barcelona continued their winning campaign in this session by defeating Malaga 2-0 in La Liga. With this win, Barcelona have made an 11-point lead in the table and strengthened their position at the top. The top scorer of the 24 rounds in 27 matches, Argentina’s Messi became the father of the third son on Saturday, due to which he withdrew from the match.
Barcelona kept their dominance over the match from beginning to end. In the first thirty minutes of both the match goals, the team did not score any goals after that. In the absence of Messi, the responsibility to win Barcelona was on Louise Suarez and he did it well. Suarez scored a magnificent goal in the 15th minute of the game and gave the team a 1-0 lead.
After this, Barcelona kept the attack intense and after 13 minutes they got another success and made the lead 2-0. This time, Philip Kotinho hid the opponent goalkeeper and trapped the ball into the net. In the second half, Málaga made several attempts to return, but Barcelona failed them.

The first phase of the match between the two was left to one with the other. Barcelona are considered to be the favorites to win on their grounds, but they have to be alert to Chelsea, who gave it a tough fight.
