Hockey Star Awards 2017: India’s Draw Is Empty, Not Received Any Award


The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has announced the Hockey Star Awards -2017. The names of the winner players were announced in this program held in Berlin, Germany, but there was no award in India’s bag. The names of Indian players missing from the list of players who won the award.
In fact, according to a statement issued by the Federation of International Hockey (FIH), Argentina’s Delphina Marino has been awarded the best female player of the year 2017 while Belgium’s Arthur von Doren has also won awards for the best male player besides the best male player.
Maria Granato of Argentina got the award for emerging player in the women’s category. He has received this award for the second consecutive year. Maddie Higchand of England and Great Britain was another player who has been rewarded for the best female goalkeeper for the second year in a row. In the men’s category, Vicente Wansch of Belgium received the best goalkeeper award.
Coach of Australia, Australia’s Elsin Anan, who won the title of Hockey World League for the Netherlands women team, got the women’s best coach award. The men’s team of the Netherlands has won the Rabobank EuroHockey Championships and the New Zealand’s Shane McLoad, who reached Belgium in the semi-finals of the Hockey World League in Johannesburg, jointly won the men’s team’s best coaches.
