Lucknow : In the eighth National Hockey Championship, Chandigarh, Punjab and Sindh Bank and Air India have reached the quarterfinals. The teams of Hockey Karnataka and the Comptroller and Auditor General of India also won the sixth day of the men’s competition.
Hockey in the first match of the day, Chandigarh defeated the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 2-0 in Pool D and secured its place in the quarterfinals with six points. In another match of pool D, the team of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India defeated Namdhari XI 2-1 and retained their top position with eight points.
Punjab and Sindh Bank defeated Hockey Jharkhand 4-0 in Pool B and entered quarter-finals. In another match of this pool, Air India defeated Hockey Haryana 3-1 to win their third win. From this, he reached the quarter-finals with ten points.
In Pool A, Railways defeated Hockey Bhopal 4-0 while Hockey Odisha defeated Hockey Uttar Pradesh 4-2. The match of hockey Punjab and Petroleum Sports Promotion Board in Pool C is equal to 2-2. In Pool C, Hockey Karnataka defeated the Mumbai Hockey Association by 5-2.
